School Supplies are the basic building blocks of any educational atmosphere. Arts & Crafts supplies can also come in handy on a daily basis, according to your style of teaching and daily lesson & lesson plans. School Supplies span a variety of different uses, and can be used in endless imaginative ways.
- Index Cards have a variety of different handy uses. Begin by teaching your students how to use index cards in the classroom and have them make flash cards at home to begin creating good study habits. Index Cards can be used for many different purposes. One of the most popular uses of index cards is for vocabulary. If the card is too big for the material you are copying down, cut it in half. This both saves paper and doubles the amount of blank cards you have at your disposal! Write the vocabulary word on one side of the index card and the corresponding definition on the other. Quiz yourself or your students whenever you have the time. Repeatedly seeing and hearing the words aloud is the most efficient way to remember them. Once you learn the words, they will become a part of your vocabulary and will be at your disposal every day.
- Pencils and Pens are the quintessential classroom items. You cannot go through a day of school without using one or the other. Make sure you and your students have enough pens and pencils to get through the school year!
- Staplers are very useful items to have in your classroom. Use staplers to hold together packets of paper for your students or yourself. You can also use staplers to staple decorations on your walls. Simply open the stapler so it lays flat and staple away on your walls.
- Scissor Racks help to keep your collection of scissors safe and organized. Sharp objects like scissors should never be left laying around a classroom, so put them in a scissor rack to minimize possible injuries!
