Description Why Buy From K12

Sight words are words that occur most frequently in printed material and cannot be easily identified by phonetics or picture clues. They are the building blocks of language, and learning to identify them is essential to developing literacy. Being able to recognize these words enables young readers to focus on comprehending more difficult words. Our unique flash cards will help meet the needs of individual student learning levels while keeping materials well organized. Color-coded cards make it easy for students to work at their own pace and build self-esteem as they master sets of sight words. The pull-apart ring system enables students to focus on word groups and easily sort and store cards by color. Additional components complement and enhance the Sight Words in a Flash color-coded learning system. Use this terrific wall chart as a guide to the Sight Words in a Flash learning system. Great for quick referencing, corresponding color-coding makes it easy for students and classroom helpers to instantly identify word sets. This chart features four reproducible word searches on the back. Students will love this fun way of repetitive learning and will ask for more. Chart measures 17" x 22" .

4 of 5 Helpful for upper grades. September 3, 2011

These charts are excellent for 5th & 6th.  For some 4th grade students, early in the year, these charts are bit difficult, however.
