Description

This colorfully illustrated and up-to-date version of the periodic table of the elements provides a great introduction to the building blocks of matter. The chart displays all 118 known elements, including the four recently added elements: nihonium, moscovium, tennessine, and oganesson. The table is color-coded into 10 common element families to aid students in recognizing elements with similar characteristics. The chart includes basic facts about each element: atomic number, element symbol, element name, and (where available) atomic weight. For most of the elements, the chart also includes pictures that support understanding of the elements and how they are connected to the real world. This fresh take on the iconic science reference is available just in time for 2019, which is the International Year of the Periodic Table and the 150th anniversary of the periodic table's discovery. Great for grades 4-12. Chart measures 17" x 22" .

I love how each element shows an example of how it is used. Students will be able to make a connection with that information, and will be able to remember and learn better.

I didn't know that it changed from the time I was in school, so I was interested in it and I am hoping that my grandchildren will too!
