Wooden Meter Stick Plain Ends

This wooden meter stick is manufactured by Learning Resources for children. This is a useful instructional tool to teach about both the metric scaling and U.S. customary scaling. Students can observe the difference themselves with these simple yet useful meter rulers. It is a great tool to keep in the classroom.

A ruler is an essential tool for students of all ages. Besides art and geometry, it is also used to learn about the measurement of things. Students need to learn the very basic concept of measurement scales, and how the English system compares to the metric system. The measuring ruler is made of good quality wood and perfectly clear coated. On the top, the measurements are marked clearly with black color. The scale stick has both the metric scaling and U.S. customary scaling marked on different sides. The metric side is marked with both millimeters and centimeters. On the other side, the U.S. customary scale is marked in 1/8" increments. The stick is exactly one meter long and the width is 7mm. This product features plain ends, but we also offer this product with metal ends. This also creates a convenient straight edge for use with blackboards, whiteboards, and poster boards.
